What Is the Armed Forces Covenant?

The Armed Forces Covenant is a pledge that acknowledges the unique sacrifices made by members of the Armed Forces. It is built on two key principles:

  1. Those who serve in the Armed Forces, whether Regular or Reserve, as well as veterans and their families, should face no disadvantage compared to other citizens in accessing public and commercial services.

  2. Special consideration is appropriate in certain cases, particularly for those who have been injured or bereaved in service.

By signing this covenant, we join countless organisations across the UK in recognising the invaluable contributions of the Armed Forces community and taking action to support them.
