The Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for an Assistant Farm Manager to join a highly respected agricultural business at their breeder laying farm in North Lincoln. In this role, you will support the Farm Manager in maintaining high welfare and operational standards.
In this role, you will be responsible for managing ventilation, heating, lighting, and feed and water systems to maintain optimal conditions for bird welfare. You will also ensure compliance with health, safety, and hygiene standards while keeping accurate farm records, including data on birds, feed, and suppliers.

As a key member of the team, you will supervise and coordinate Farm Assistants to ensure smooth daily operations and provide cover for the Farm Manager during rest or holiday periods. This is a hands-on role that requires strong leadership, decision-making skills, and the ability to work independently when needed.

The Candidate:
- Previous experience in a similar role, ideally within poultry or agriculture
- Strong decision-making abilities and the confidence to act autonomously when required
- Supervisory or team management experience to oversee daily operations effectively
- Good IT and organisational skills
- A passion for maintaining high welfare and operational standards is essential
