Key Account Customer Service Advisor - Bury St Edmunds – £24,000 – 9-Month Maternity Contract + Benefits
The Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Key Account Customer Service Advisor to join a leading agricultural business on a 9-month maternity cover contract. Reporting to the Customer Service Lead, the role involves providing world-class, tailored customer service to both internal and external key accounts. As the first point of contact, you will ensure customer needs are met efficiently, managing orders, prescriptions, and complaints. This fast-paced role requires excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a customer-focused approach.
You will be responsible for ensuring the smooth flow of orders across the supply chain by liaising with internal teams, as well as conducting strategic order reviews to optimise fleet and production efficiency. The role involves developing a deep understanding of key account processes, farmers, and contract growers, while providing effective problem-solving solutions to enhance the customer experience. Additional duties include producing accurate reports, liaising with veterinarians for prescription requirements, and handling customer complaints collaboratively to reach mutually beneficial outcomes.

The Candidate:
- Excellent telephone manner and strong written communication skills
- Previous customer service experience, ideally within the agricultural industry
- Ability to work accurately and professionally under pressure
- Exceptional organisational skills and a logical, problem-solving mindset
- Strong team player, able to communicate effectively at all levels
- SAP experience and Microsoft Office proficiency, including Excel (intermediate/advanced level)
The Package:
- Salary: £24,000 per annum
