An excellent opportunity is available for an experienced and hands-on Dairy Farm Manager to join a forward-thinking dairy farm in Northern Ireland on a 6-month contract, commencing mid-June.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the full day-to-day running of the dairy unit, which includes a 190-cow herd milked through a modern Dairymaster point swingover parlour. This is a fantastic short-term opportunity for someone confident in managing all aspects of dairy farming, with a focus on herd health, grassland management, and the efficient use of farm equipment.

The Role:
- Overseeing the day-to-day dairy operations
- Milking a 190-cow herd using a Dairymaster point swingover parlour
- Feeding, nutrition, and general herd health
- Animal husbandry and maintaining high welfare standards
- Grassland management and rotation planning
- Operating and maintaining farm machinery and equipment
- Daily maintenance and repair tasks
- Taking full responsibility for daily decision-making on farm activities

The Candidate:
- Previous experience managing or working in a senior role on a dairy farm
- Confident with all aspects of dairy herd management
- Skilled in milking systems and machinery operation
- Strong understanding of animal nutrition and welfare
- Able to work independently and take full responsibility for farm operations
- Experience with Dairymaster systems is advantageous
