Livestock Manager – Beef & Dairy -  £52,000 + Subsidised Accommodation + Benefits

The Job:
An opportunity has arisen for a Livestock Manager – Beef & Dairy to join a progressive, regenerative mixed farming business in North Nottinghamshire. This is a hands-on position managing a dedicated team of four, responsible for the day-to-day and long-term running of a growing livestock enterprise. You’ll work closely with the farm owner/director and veterinary team to develop weekly, monthly and annual work plans, as well as implement operational procedures across the unit. The role will cover full responsibility for the livestock team, animal welfare, record keeping, vet & med stock management, feed inventories, and fencing.

The Company:
A family run, mixed farming business operating across 2000 hectares, finishing Angus/Hereford dairy crosses annually. This regenerative, predominantly forage-based beef and dairy system produces high welfare livestock off herbal leys, forage crops, and rotational grazing. Stock are finished indoors on a TMR system, supported by modern, newly built handling yards, silage clamps, and finishing facilities.
The business offers a supportive working environment with a strong team culture and was proudly award-nominated in the Farmers Weekly Beef Farmer of the Year awards.

The Candidate:
- Previous livestock management experience essential
- Strong leadership and communication skills
- Hands-on, proactive attitude with attention to animal welfare and detail
- Competent in livestock record keeping and vet & med management
- Good fencing, stockmanship, and basic machinery skills preferred
- Passion for regenerative, mixed farming systems beneficial
- Ability to plan and implement SOPs and work schedules
