THE JOB:
An established agricultural company is seeking a skilled and experienced Agricultural Concrete Finisher to join their team. This full-time position offers a Monday to Friday schedule with a 40-hour working week. The role requires previous experience in the manufacturing and construction industry, specifically in concrete finishing. As an Agricultural Concrete Finisher, you will be responsible for filling blowholes, smoothing external edges, and performing waterproofing, damp proofing, and restoration of concrete surfaces.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
Perform concrete finishing tasks such as filling blowholes, smoothing external edges, and achieving a smooth and even surface texture.
Utilize appropriate tools and techniques to achieve high-quality finishes, ensuring the aesthetic appeal and durability of the concrete surfaces.
Conduct waterproofing and damp proofing activities to protect the concrete against moisture and external elements.
Restore and repair concrete surfaces as needed, following established procedures and utilizing suitable materials and methods.
Collaborate with the construction team to coordinate concrete pouring and finishing activities, ensuring efficient workflow and adherence to project timelines.
Interpret construction plans and drawings to understand the specific requirements for each concrete finishing task.
Adhere to safety protocols and regulations to maintain a safe working environment for oneself and others.
Operate and maintain concrete finishing tools and equipment in good working condition.
Communicate and coordinate with supervisors and team members to ensure effective collaboration and smooth execution of concrete finishing tasks.
THE CANDIDATE:
Previous experience working in the manufacturing and construction industry, specifically in concrete finishing.
Proficient in blowhole filling, external edge smoothing, and achieving smooth and even concrete surfaces.
Knowledge of waterproofing and damp proofing techniques for concrete surfaces.
Familiarity with concrete restoration and repair methods.
Ability to read and interpret construction plans and drawings.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
Physical fitness and the ability to perform manual tasks, including lifting and manoeuvring concrete materials.
Excellent teamwork and communication skills to collaborate effectively with colleagues and supervisors.
Adherence to safety protocols and a proactive attitude towards maintaining a safe working environment.
