The Job:
An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Boatsman to join a well-established trout farm in Scotland. This role is responsible for assisting with the daily farm operations on the water, ensuring the health and welfare of the fish stock, and maintaining high standards of farm efficiency and biosecurity.
Working on the water daily, the Boatsman will support feeding, fish health monitoring, and net maintenance while ensuring safe and effective farm operations.

Key Responsibilities:
🔹 Fish Welfare & Farm Operations
- Assist with daily feeding routines, monitoring fish health and behaviour.
- Support grading and harvesting operations to ensure fish quality.
- Perform routine health checks and report any abnormalities.
- Follow biosecurity protocols to prevent disease outbreaks.
- Operate and maintain boats, nets, and mooring systems.
- Ensure all equipment is regularly inspected and in good working order.
- Assist in the installation and repair of farm infrastructure on the water.
- Ensure adherence to health & safety, environmental, and welfare regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of daily farm activities.
- Monitor water quality and report any issues affecting fish welfare.
