The Job:
We are seeking a Farm Business Consultant to join a respected consultancy team supporting agricultural and rural businesses in the South West of England. This hybrid role combines home-based work, on-farm client visits, and occasional office collaboration to deliver expert guidance and solutions.

Key responsibilities include conducting business appraisals, creating financial plans, and analyzing farm accounts to benchmark technical and financial performance. You will support joint ventures and restructuring projects, prepare and submit planning applications, and provide compliance advice for Red Tractor, NVZ, audits, and grants. Additionally, you will offer specialist technical advice on dairy, grassland, livestock, and soil nutrition while facilitating farmer discussion groups and managing buying groups.

The Candidate:
- Demonstrable experience in farm business consultancy or a related field
- Strong IT skills, including fluency with Microsoft Office
- Excellent numerical, analytical, and communication skills
- A proactive approach to supporting clients’ goals, whether growth, consolidation, or restructuring
- Self-motivated, organised, and flexible mindset with the ability to work independently and collaboratively
- You should ideally reside in Dorset, Somerset, or Wiltshire or be willing to relocate to the region

The Package:
- Competitive salary based on experience £35,000 - £65,000
