We’re looking for a highly organised and detail-oriented Accounts Assistant / Finance Assistant to join a dynamic finance team, reporting directly to the Group Head of Finance. This is a fantastic opportunity to take the next step in your career with a leading company in the supply chain sector.
The Role:
As an Accounts/Finance Assistant, you will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient running of finance operations. Your main responsibilities will include:
· Processing all customer invoices and issuing monthly statements
· Managing credit control and maintaining debtor ledgers
· Verifying delivery costs for customers
· Preparing the monthly sales report
· Managing debtor insurance in line with customer limits
· Handling company credit card maintenance
· Analysing data and producing accurate financial reports
· Working with multi-currency transactions
· Using and maintaining ERP systems (experience with Sage 200 is an advantage)
The Person:
To succeed in this role, you should have:
· A minimum of 5 years’ experience in a similar finance role
· Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage competing priorities
· A collaborative work style, supporting colleagues across the business
· Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, Word, and Outlook
· The ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines without compromising accuracy
· A commitment to continuous learning and development
Desirable Skills:
🎓Accounting Technician qualification or equivalent
Essential Skills:
📊 Knowledge of VIES, Intrastat, and Triangulation
💻 Experience with ERP systems and Sage 200 (or similar)
🚛 Familiarity with supply chain management
