Farm Operative
Livestock and Farm Operative – Kent - £32,000 + Accommodation Included

The Job:
This is a unique opportunity for an experienced livestock and farm operative to join a company committed to sustainability and organic vineyard management in France and the UK. The role involves managing and expanding a certified organic and Pasture for Life sheep flock while supporting a Field to Fork project supplying meat and vegetables to a gastro pub and direct sales.
The company produces award-winning Provence Rosé and English Sparkling Wines, aiming to be the largest wine producer in both regions by 2024, with over 10 million bottles annually. With a strong focus on innovation and sustainability, its UK operations include the country’s first carbon-negative vineyard.
Reporting to the Estate and Conservation Manager, the Livestock and Farm Operative will oversee sheep, pigs, and chickens, with future expansion in the Southeast. Key duties include managing a 450-strong sheep flock for pasture and vineyard grazing, overseeing poultry and pig farming, implementing livestock health plans, contributing to the kitchen garden and supporting estate maintenance.

The Candidate:
Experience in livestock management, particularly sheep farming, is essential- Knowledge of organic farming practices and Pasture for Life principles is highly desirable- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a hands-on approach to farming and estate management- Strong organisational skills and the ability to manage multiple responsibilities- A passion for sustainable agriculture and working in harmony with the environment

The Package:
- Salary £32,000 DOE
- Accommodation included w/ £400 a month rent
