The Job:
- Develop and oversee breeding programs to optimise forage and turf grass performance.
- Manage field trials, analyse data, and assess cultivar performance under various environmental conditions.
- Collaborate with scientists, agronomists, and stakeholders to ensure alignment with market needs.
- Stay updated on advancements in plant genetics, biotechnology, and breeding methodologies.
- Prepare technical reports, communicate findings, and ensure project milestones are met.
The Candidate:
- Advanced degree in Plant Breeding, Agronomy, or related field.
- Proven experience in crop or grass breeding, ideally within forage or amenity grasses.
- Strong project management and data analysis skills.
- Familiarity with sustainable breeding practices and environmental considerations.
