Senior Underwriter Agricultural Insurance -£60,000 DOE - Hybrid & Remote Working Options + Benefits
The Job:
Our client is seeking an experienced Agricultural Insurance Underwriter to join their team and work with agricultural businesses across the UK. In this role, you will be responsible for acquiring and retaining profitable business in line with the company’s underwriting strategies and objectives. You will underwrite new opportunities, manage existing accounts, and contribute to the growth of the agricultural insurance portfolio. Specialising in insurance for farmers and the agricultural community, this provider offers comprehensive coverage tailored to a variety of farm types, including livestock, arable and specialist farming. With access to a competitive panel of leading insurers, they offer integrated policies covering farm assets, household insurance, livestock, liability and personal accident protection. Additional coverage includes agricultural vehicle insurance, motor fleet policies, livestock disease insurance and agricultural contracting insurance, ensuring tailored protection for all aspects of rural business operations.
The Candidate:
- Cert CII essential. DIP CII/ ACII preferred
- Advanced level of specialist market and specialist product knowledge
- Proven ability to write profitable business in the Agriculture specialist market
- Working knowledge of the legal and regulatory insurance framework
- Exceptionally strong decision-making confidence and ability
- Ability to communicate effectively at all levels with internal and external stakeholders
- Highly organised with a focus on individual and business objectives, priorities and deliverables.
The Package:
- Salary £50,000-£60,000 basic DOE
- This role can be worked as an office, hybrid or fully remote role
